What is CAR-T Cell Therapy?

CAR-T Cell Therapy known as  Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell therapy is an innovative cancer treatment where T-cells (a type of immune cell) are modified to target cancer cells more effectively. This therapy involves collecting T-cells from a patient, genetically engineering them in a lab to produce special structures called chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) on their surface, and re-infusing them into the patient's body to seek and destroy cancer cells. It has shown promising results, particularly for blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma.
